Since its incorporation in 1992, Yampa Valley Land Trust has worked to actively conserve land in the Yampa Valley and Northwest Colorado. YVLT collaborates with a diverse group of landowners that include traditional ranching families, new property owners, local governments and, at times, developers. The work of YVLT benefits the community, including residents, businesses, second homeowners and the estimated 600,000 visitors who come to Steamboat Springs and its surroundings each year.
Yampa Valley Land Trust diligently works to conserve the incredible landscapes in the four county region of Northwest Colorado with a focus on the Upper Yampa River Basin in Routt County and the Upper White River in Rio Blanco County, for the benefit of this and future generations.
